  2. What is the name of this type of fungi? I have one exactly like it in my garden!

    1. Hi Brina,
      I'm not positive, because I did not view the fungus that inspired it up close (and the inspiring fungus was white), but it could be Polyporus albellus, which is a common white shelf fungus that is found on dead deciduous wood. There are many types that look similar though, and this is still a learning process for me. That's my guess though! Thanks for your comment.
