  1. This project is absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to see the rest of them -- it also reminds me of the woman who used knitting to think through the hyperbolic structures of coral(she even gave a TED talk about it). It's exciting to see craft used in a critical, art world.

    1. Annie, that sounds like an awesome project! Do you happen to have a link to any information about it? I'd love to find out more... Thanks for your kind words!

  2. Is it made only of yarn, or are you using some wire inside to keep the shape? Either way, this whole series of fungi is really amazing. I can't wait to see more of them!

    1. Hi Cassi,

Thank you! For these I did use some wire inside the stalks to reinforce the shape... otherwise they would have just flopped over!

  3. These are great, so cute.

I came across a recipe while leafing through a cookbook in a book-shop yesterday. Basically you take a bunch of the mushrooms and wrap a slice of bacon around the stem end, arrange in an oven-proof dish and bake until the bacon is done. I can't remember the temperature and time, but here is a link to a similar recipe: http://www.colorandspices.com/2013/03/bacon-wrapped-enoki-mushrooms.html
